Understanding the effect of surface properties on biofilm formation

In my graduate studies I investigated the effects of steric and electric-potential modifications of surfaces on surface-interactions in aqueous media using a Surface Force Apparatus (SFA). The purpose of my current research is to use my knowledge of surface science in order to study the effect of surface properties on biofilm formation.
